© Terje UgandiFrom the area by the ice rink in Tartu Lõunakeskus, a multifunctional interior space has emerged. On a small yet highly visible site, the opportunity arose to create a new restaurant.
The aim was to keep the small and narrow space as open as possible, allowing it to connect better with the surrounding environment. An open kitchen separates the seating area from the corridor, while at the same time offering a clear view across the entire interior. A horizontal opening framed with a suspended beam enables direct interaction between guests, staff, and chefs.
Sculptural spatial elements define different zones and activities. The created interior reflects the character of Tokumaru’s cuisine – both clean-lined and light.
