Floating sauna near Türi

The idea for the floating sauna came from the client, whose desire to create something special for their home place inspired us to hold an in-house idea competition. The chosen solution stood out from its surroundings with a clear form and used design elements sparingly. The project was not driven so much by the uniqueness of the location, as by the client's personal and emotional connection to Türi.

The biggest challenge was the limited space – the entire complex was built on old pontoons with predetermined dimensions. This required using a particularly rational and compact architectural solution. Fortunately, the client contributed with their engineering expertise during the technical implementation.

The project provided a good opportunity to experiment with functionally pure architecture in a small, installation-like form, whose impact on the environment is immediately perceptible. The spatial solution creates an environment that is spacious, yet appropriately sized.
